Miyajima is one of the most beautiful place I've ever seen. It's simply wonderful. I took a lot of pictures so it'll be really hard to pick and choose just a few to post here. :)
Miyajima is an island located about a half hour from Hiroshima. The experience begins at the ferry where you already get a taste of all the breathtaking beauty that Miyajima has to offer.
Miyajima is one of Japan's top 3 most scenic places to visit. It is mostly known for the Itsukushima Shrine and it's floating gate.
Miyajima is also known for its deer. They are everywhere. They also quite friendly and will follow you around, especially if you happen to be carrying food. They might also just sneak up on you and try to stick their nose into your bag if they think there may be something interesting for them in there.
Miyajiima has a lot of deer, nature, temples, water and momiji manju. Those are also everywhere and they are delicious! They are maple leaf shaped - which made me feel right at home - and come in many different flavours.
