Akabane, Ikebukuro & Ebisu

On Saturday morning, my friend joined me in Tokyo! Because she wanted to visit a specific temple and I had never been there, we started the day in Akabane.

It was another beautiful day! The plum trees were blossoming. The temple was nice and peaceful.

After Akabane, we went for something completely different and headed down to the lively Ikebukuro.

Where we met Sonic on the street...

We walked around, shopped, got coffee... Then I got dragged into going to karaoke.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it actually ended up being fun! :) We had our own little room, and the videos in the background were pretty hilarious. I got first pick of songs and we had a good laugh.

For dinner, I had heard that Ebisu was the place to go.

I was in the mood for meet so we decided to go for Yakiniku (grilled meet). It was absolutely amazing! Amazing!! I would even go as far as to say this was the most memorable meal I had in Japan. And you should know by now that I've enjoyed my food.

We picked just the normal quality meat, but it was the juiciest most delicious beef I've ever eaten in my life. I guess that it doesn't hurt that everything about this experience was just perfect: the atmosphere, the beer, the company... :)

A little pricey but most definitely worth it! :D
