Akihabara! The Japanese geek paradise. Animate here has 7 floors packed with manga and anime stuff. And it's not the only place like this in the area.
I was going to explore a lot more, but unfortunately the weather was terrible. The wind killed my umbrella right in front of the train station, and then it tried to kill my new one less than half an hour later. See below, it's not fog, it's a white curtain of rain...
Called it a day around mid-afternoon, then found a place to eat in Asakusa where I had the BEST TEMPURA OF MY LIFE! :9 So good. Also, miso soup. And melon pan. Did I mention that I really came to Japan for the food? :)
Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny!
